In the early 20th century as a reaction to the loss of quality due to the industrial revolution, craftsmen from many disciplines began producing high quality goods at reasonable prices. The hand-made frames of this period are some of our favorites, being composed specifically for the style of painting that was emerging in that time. Many particular craftsmen and workshops emerged as leaders, and over the years we have had the pleasure to work on or duplicate the frames of Harer, Thulin, Kuehne, and others. We are happy to take on new projects duplicating or re-imagining the style and forms of our predecessors to suit the needs of our clients.
